2023 Mens and Mixed 4BBB Championships

Results

Held Sunday 10th September 2023 at Foster. 36 players competed in soft conditions underfoot, with clear weather, the course and greens were well presented.

2023 SGG Men’s Singles & Junior Championships

Results

Held on Sunday, 21st May at Lang Lang Golf Club. 2023 Champion: Michael Thomas (75) from Leongatha Golf Club. Michael also won the South Gippsland Champion of Champions.

2023 SGG Womens Singles Championship

Results

15th May, Korumburra Golf Club hosted the prestigious South Gippsland Golf Women’s Singles Championships in ideal weather conditions. Slick greens and heavier than usual conditions were challenging for some players.

2023 SGGI Country Week Teams Fundraiser

7th May. The inaugural Country Week Teams Fundraiser event was held at Phillip Island Golf Club on Sunday 7th May. A fantastic turnout of golfers from around the South Gippsland District and beyond participated in the 4 person Ambrose format. The ‘island’ certainly turned on some wonderful weather for the 26 teams despite other areas in close proximity receiving hail and rain during the morning – everyone remained dry and even blue skies appeared.

2023 Women’s Bowl

Results

There was a great gathering of clubs from around the district today (Friday 3rd March) at Welshpool Golf Club for the SGGI Bowl. The dry weather that is currently upon us contributed to the ‘run’ found around the fairways – the course was in great condition and certainly commanded respect particularly around the greens.

2023 SGGI Women’s Opening Day

A beautiful Summer’s day greeted the 80 player field for the women’s South Gippsland Golf Maree Anderson Opening Day 4BBB event held at Wonthaggi Golf Club on Friday 10th February 2023.

Country week teams 2022

Results

Country week was played in Shepparton from 26th to 28th September. Pictured are the men’s and women’s teams who represented South Gippsland in this event.

South Gippsland 4 ball Championship results 2022

Results

This event was held at Woorayl Golf Club on Sunday 16th October. There were 13 Men’s pairs entered and 9 mixed pairs. Thank you to all players who supported the event.

2022 Women’s Foursome Championships

Results

Phillip Island Golf Club hosted the South Gippsland Women’s Golf Association Foursomes Championship last week with district clubs being well represented: twenty eight pairs played and all managed to avoid the rain.
