The South Gippsland District Golf Association has a proud history of fostering and supporting golf across the many courses of the South Gippsland region. Over the years, the Association has witnessed outstanding golf, celebrated talented players, and benefited from the dedication of volunteers and officials who have generously contributed their time and effort to the growth and success of the game within the district. Today, we are proud to recognise our past Association Officials and preserve the results and history of tournaments from years gone by for our golfing community.
In 1958, the South Gippsland District Golf Association Associates (S.G.D.G.A.A.) was formed as the women’s division associated with the South Gippsland District Golf Association. In 1986, the organisation was renamed the South Gippsland Ladies Golf Association (SGLGA), before becoming the South Gippsland Women’s Golf Association (SGWGA) in 2013. This change aligned with Golf Victoria and Golf Australia’s adoption of the terms “Men’s” and “Women’s” for official events and competitions.
